As i referred to in my "Nonconformity" blog, teenagers also struggle and play with confidence. As a teenager myself, I'll say that i have a lot of confidence. Probably to much as some of my friends say. Confidence is one thing all Transcendentalists believe in, and although i am not one myself, and not everyone is, you should have confidence no matter what. Not only should jocks and cheerleaders have confidence but everyone whether you are a band geek or a math nerd. Everyone needs confidence.
I totally agree with you Transcendentalists must of been confident. This way the could persuade others to do the same. And if not maybe just so that they could get to believe in themselves, an be confident. I also agree with you every teenager should be confident about themselves. Because even two cheetahs look exactly alike but one spot is enough to make it different from the others. It must be hard for a teen to be confident in High School this because everyone try's to be like the jocks or the cheerleaders. I really like your quote because if you have the confidence you can be anything you want or set your mind to no matter what anyone tells you!
ReplyDeleteI really feel what your saying about everyone needing confidence. People tend to think that only the "big guys" on campus have confidence because they're the one's that get all the attention and props. However, for someone to go on stage and perform in front of maybe a hundred people, that takes a lot of confidence. I give you mad props for that because I know it's something you love doing.
